Boulder Park Trail
35 reviews

Some fields, lots of woods, rocky sections, and lordy! look out for the slime on those creek crossings! This is a pretty neat trail, several climbs that will work your legs little, a lot of twisties to keep you awake, or smack you awake should you doze. A few fast sections, too, just to keep it from being all work.

Trail Directions
Just north of Duncanville on Hwy 67, take the Camp Wisdom exit, and turn northwest towards the mall. At the light on Boulder street turn northeast, away from the mall. The park entrances (gaps in the chain link fence) are on your right Please do not park at the church parking lot. Several inconsiderate folks have already ticked them off by doing that.

Summary:
i have been coming over to dfw area once a month for airforce reserve and riding trails each time. so far this is the best i have found in the area. the trail has good flow. i love trails that enable you to maintain your speed. too bad the city could not build a road to the center of the park and at least build a parking lot and restrooms. the trail has some climbs and descents but mainly it flows well and is fairly fast.

I'm about to go ride the boulder park trail today. just thought i would clarify for everyone that recently the name of the road has been changed to "pastor Bailey drive" instead of boulder drive.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
windmill hill trail is nice. it is not so much a loop as it is a number of jot-outs that meet back in the middle.
the uphills are rooty and gravel-y, so they'll test your skills.
good luck~

Summary:
One of the first trails I have ridden in the Dallas area. Not a nice area to have to park your vehicle in. We parked across the street and saw what looked like broken auto glass everywhere. First of all, I would like to take my hat off to DORBA for all their hard work in maintaining these trails. This trail is pretty fast with lots of roots. Some nice dips and tight turns. Trail is mostly under canopy. The yellow police tape kind of freaked me out under that dense canopy. Anyways, fast trail. I would definately like to ride again when I am in the area.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Rowlett

Summary:
This trail is hands down the best trail to ride in the DFW area. DORBA has worked hard on this trail thanks to the trail steward "Shadow". This trail has been marked very well recently 11-25-06. They have two ways to go.....red (which I recommend) or green. The red is about 10.4 miles and has some great climbs and drops. If you like rocks this is the place to be for Texas.

Recommended Route:
Follow the red trail markers.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Erwin Park McKinney, TX and Rowlett Creek Preserve, Rowlett, TX.
