Cross Country Rider Summary: Not as smooth as I imagined (there are a couple technical rock sections, and even some ledges to climb), more climbing than I expected (no big climbs, but alot of little ones add up), and a whole lot of fun. It's like riding a rollercoaster. Up,down, left, right. You're constantly moving around, and will never get bored. If it starts to get easy. Go faster! Recommended Route: One way trail with a main trail and a couple shortcuts. Pretty difficult to get lost. Other recommended trails in the same area: Barton Creek Greenbelt, Lake Georgetown, Emma Long, Walnut Creek

Weekend Warrior Summary: This is one of the best trails in the area. It's heavily wooded so you are protected from the sun in the Summer and the wind in the Winter. There is almost 8 miles of single track. There are no big, long climbs. There are only a few sections a begginner would have to walk. Constant twists and turns keep you entertained. This place is fun. Recommended Route: There's only one. Other recommended trails in the same area: Pedernales, Reimers Ranch, Pace Bend

Cross Country Rider Summary: What an awesome trail. It was a bit further out then I thought it would be, but well worth the drive. It's about 5 minutes past Pace Bend on 71W. The trail is gorgeous and around every corner there is something new to look at. Mainly hard pack with some smaller rocks here and there. I've ridden for about 15 years and didn't find anything very difficult, and my girlfriend who just started riding a month ago only had to walk up 2-3 small hills. However, she's a very quick learner. I wouldn't say it's beginner due to the elevation changes, loose rocks, and sometimes overhanging branches, but it's definitely something a beginner could do in moderation. I absolutely loved the trail, the views, the wildlife, the solitude, and the trail conditions all made for one of the best rides of my life. I HIGHLY recommend this trail for anyone looking for a peaceful, aerobic workout. The one-way trail concept is awesome, I'm sick of unrespectful aholes who think they own the trail and run you and your guests off the road going 20+ mph on single-tracks with no consideration for on-coming. I went on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and didn't encounter ANY other bike riders, how perfect is that?

Cross Country Rider Summary: Fun, but not technical. I enjoy the quick pace and fun route. More of a great chest burning ride seeing how fast you can go. Easy outs of the trail on the road crossings every few miles in case of mech failure. Recommended Route: One way only ride. It's just fun to back up and try a tricky section via a different route. Other recommended trails in the same area: Barton Creek, BLORA, Walnut Creek.

, from b Summary: An easy but fun fast ride. Not really any technical areas but I think the test is more towards endurance and speed. A good place to bring beginners. Watch out for the hogs! Recommended Route: Go Northwest out of Austin...oh well...buy a map. Other recommended trails in the same area: Barton Creek Greenbelt (start behind Toys R Us)
