Kit McConnico- Lost Arrow Trail

Average Rating:    (4 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 4

This a new trail, designed by mountain bikers, for mountain bikers. The trail is fast and flowy, with abundant roots. The trail is excellent for beginners and challenging to ride fast.
DET-TRAC is looking to expand the trail to 5-7 miles eventually.

Summary:
This trail is by far one of my favorite places to ride when I have the time! It's full of twists and turns (so it doesn't get boring) and switches from inclines to declines enough to keep you working at it!

Summary:
We really enjoy having a nice place to ride in town. It has been a great place to get back into riding and there are a few technical sections that have helped improve our confidence and basic skills.

Recommended Route:
All the loops are great for different reasons.

Summary:
Fast and flowing single track, nothing too technical but fun to ride fast, just watch out for the occasional felled tree. They have recently opened up another 2(ish) mile loop across the footbridge, so check out that section as well as the Lost Arrow loop. Fun for everyone and as hard as you want it to be.

Summary:
A nice ride in the piney woods. Great for beginners and from what I saw, people from Lufkin are making good use of their new trail. It's short enough that you can easily ride it two or three times. There's nothing technical except roots and they definitely have plenty of room to add more loops in the future. Kudos to the trail builders. The Lufkin area has needed some trails. With relatives living in the area, I will be back to ride Lost Arrow if nothing else for the scenery.

Recommended Route:
Take all rights and you'll ride everything. There's a map at the trail head too.
