Cross Country Rider Summary: The Texas State Park guide lists 48 parks with mountain biking. This is not one I would recommend visiting. The guide rates this 2-3 in level of difficulty. It is a solid one. Not very challenging. The main trail follows the park boundary so it is very straight. It is the width of a cross country ski trail (~4-5 feet wide). There is some terrain and a few stream crossings. The park itself is beautiful. It also has a wide array of wildlife. Other sections of the trail include some hard packed single track through trees. Might be a good place to bring your little kids if you are camping or boating there. Recommended Route: Do the park boundary route starting at the entrace to the park. Go all the way to the lake. It is a good view. Then work your way back taking some of the side routes. Other recommended trails in the same area: Not much in the area that I know about. I would go to Tyler or Waco.
