This trail is very rocky and can lead you many places. My friend and I made this up, and hit it a few times a week. You start by going downhill on lots of rocks, so the beginner rider may have difficulty. Coming back up the hill is hard, and you may need to get off at a few places. A bike with shocks is highly recommended for this fun trail. Bring big spray!
This trail starts in the neighborhood Redland Woods, in San Antonio, Texas. Redland Woods is on the north side of town, off of Redland Road.
To access Redland Road, you can come from loop 1604 or off of highway 281. To access from 1604, exit at the Redland Road exit.
Redland Road has 2 exits on 1604.
Off of 1604 from the east, exit at the Redland Road exit and make a left turn on Redland Road. Continue straight until you see the neighborhood Redland Woods. Make a right turn into Redland Woods and procede down Gold Canyon to the first stop sign. Make a right on Corperate Woods, and drive until you see the hospital Laurel Ridge. Park at Laurel Ridge and get on your bike. Backtrack until you see huge telephone poles.
Off of 1604 from the west, exit at the Redland Road exit. Continue until you see a sign for Laurel Ridge Hospital (this should be the first right turn). Make a right at the sign, and park in the Laurel Ridge parking lot. Hop on your bike and continue straight down the road, away from the hospital. When you see huge telephone poles, hop onto the sidewalk (on the right) and procede down the bike trail.
Coming north on highway 281, exit at Redland Road. There is no big signs for it, but a little blue one instead. Drive into the turnoff lane, and make a right onto Redland Road. Continue until you see the neighborhood Redland Woods on the left. Turn here on Gold Canyon and procede to the first stop sign. Make a right on Corperate Woods, and drive until you see the hospital Laurel Ridge. Park at Laurel Ridge and get on your bike. Backtrack until you see huge telephone poles.

Summary: good trail if your looking for some different areas not to long but hilly and rocky worth a ride for a different atomosphere good directions

Summary: This trail is very interesting. You can go all over the back area of Redland Woods, and it is all offroad. The rocks make this trail bumpy and hard for balance. You can go to many areas in the area, so try to end up in Emerald Forest. Making the way back is more difficult, but fun, since it is uphill. The directions are accurate, so that is no problem.
Note: There is a gate at the trailhead of the trail. Go around it, it is only to keep cars and trucks off the area without special permission. Bikers are welcome.

Summary: This trail is awesome! You can go many places and the rocks rock. Going downhill is a challenge, especially with the gravel and rocks. Not recommended for the beginner who isn't willing to put up a fight with gravity. The faster the better, and this trail brings the best out of you. Ride this. Directions were highly accurate
