Piney Creek Horse Loop & Camp

These are equestrian trails, so they are 4-6' wide. Practice trail courtesy to the horses. These trails are a series of loops ranging from 3 to 14 miles. Very sandy and muddy. Flat with an occasional gentle hill. Non-technical.

Summary:
Very sandy and shaded. Although the terrain is flat, the sand makes it a great workout. Absolutely had the trail to ourselves. In addition, there are several miles of paved logging roads to ride. They were a welcomed sight after all of that sand. There is so much riding to do there, we'll be back. Couple of other things:
Bring a bat to combat the horse flies.
Only a pit toilet for services at trailhead.
Please practice common courtesy to the horses---they do endurance racing here occasionally.
Have a burger at the Burlap Bag Cafe afterwards. Located at FM 2781 and Hwy 7 in Kennard. BYOB.
