Racer Summary: A Long hard loose climb. The drop in to the Arroyo Park is fun but then the climbing begins on Monk's Trail. It is a ,ong difficult climb with much loose rock. The trail start at 3600' and ends at almost 5000'. The return via the Trail of Tears is very narrow and tricky...the agave and cactii are unforgiving. A good challenge for a 1.5 hour loop. Recommended Route: Up Monk's and down Ana's Trail of Tears

, from Ogden, Utah Summary: El Paso definitely offers a different type of riding (no hardpack dirt at all). Very technical with desert background. Rocks on top of rocks, even some baby heads. Recommend full suspension and large tires if possible, it makes the climbing and descending much easier. In El Paso, you really have to watch the corners, very easy to slide out as compared to riding on hardpack. Recommended Route: Started from arroyo park and rode to some street off of Stanton. It was mostly singletrack all the way. Other recommended trails in the same area: I really like the singletrack at the Franklin Mountain state park, easily the best in the area. Well marked and very fun. It cost 4 bucks to ride though.

, from el paso Summary: sick trail, very rocky and steep in parts. Dont try it if you've got the wrong tires or are not in shape. Fun coming downhill, some steep and technical sections. Always a blast !!

, from El Paso Summary: Like most of El Paso/Southern New Mexico trails, expect rocks, rocks and more rocks. The climb is tough- a good workout for the legs. You'll be rewarded coming back on the challenging downhill- just watch out for the cacti! Other than that, not too much to get excited about with this trail. I'm still looking for really good trails in the El Paso area.
