Flying P Cycle Ranch

1200 Acres of single track, open space and fire road trails thru creek bottom land, post oak woods, limestone breaks and sand. I've been riding here since 1969 (I was 11) and it is the best kept secret in the Metroplex. Numerous trail loops and 3 Motocross tracks. Mr. Pope started letting people ride motorcycles on his land in 1968. He has no problem allowing mountain bikes. The motorcyclists are always amazed everytime they see me and they treat all bikers with respect.

Keep on driving past the Courthouse square on 51/171 approx. 1.5 miles to FM920. Turn left (West) along 920 for 1 mile. Turn right (North) on FM2421. You'll see a sign on your right for the cycle ranch. Drive for 5.5 miles on 2421 till Sweet Springs Road. Turn right (East) and drive until you deadend into the gates of the Flying P Cycle Ranch

Summary:
Was looking for some place to do some serious off roading...instead my pocket got eight dollars lighter and I did not walk away with that warm fuzzy feeling. This place is for MOTORCYCLES....not for bicycles. If your coming from the metroplex drive a little further to Bar-H or just to a bar. You'll be glad you did....

Summary:
Save your time and $8.00 (yes, $8 per bike...the same for motorcycles!) This place is for the motor jocks...not mountain bikes (maybe mountain goats....even they would be bored). If you have ever been to Bar H or Glen Rose you won't come here. Trashy!

Recommended Route:
anywhere but here

Summary:
Let the motorcycles have this one. That's what is was made for. Too much loose dirt and rock for this man. Trails not marked. Motor Jocks doing donuts can have it. Save your $8 (yes, $8 for bikes and motors). Place is trashed out with garbage. My last trip there!

Recommended Route:
a route that leads somewhere else

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Bar H in St. Joe
