Cross Country Rider Summary: outter loop paralells park fence for 7+ miles loop. tuff hill climbs up and down draws. you need to be advanced rider and fit to bike w/o dismount. about 15 draws to circumnaviagete. otherwise limestone ledges, steep dips and loose rock will cause regular dismount. for the purest a problem here is that the trails run straight along the fence w/o curves. excelelent cardio with some technical challenges.
White Tail hollow trails below dam winds thru cedar woods and up onto dam for about 4 miles. this is great one for the kids and mom. no elevtion changes but plenty of windy trials thru forest glenns on dirt hardpack. think hobbits.
all trials CLEARLY marked with distances on easily obtainable park map. see website or availbel at park.
i will rate it based soley on outterloop ride as White Tail is 80% beginers trail.

Weekend Warrior Summary: I was disappointed in how poorly the trail(s) were marked both on the trail and on the park map. We rode what was on the map only to find out that trail was much longer. This map we found at the bike/road crossing which was not even on the park's map. The trail its self was very rocky in most places and it is easy to get off the correct path which I am still not sure where it is. In my oppinion it was not worth the $3 per person to ride nor was the 45 min drive. I will try and ride again later in the fall to see if my oppinion changes. Just because of the rocks I am giving the Technical Difficulty a 3. As far as arobic, I'm in good shape and found that is was very easy for me. Recommended Route: As soon as you pass the base ball fields you will cross a small bridge like structure, on the right will be a map of the trail. This is a good starting place and it is near the rest rooms. Use this map and try not to get lost. Other recommended trails in the same area: Depends on how far area is, but my favorite is still Z Boaz in S.W. Fort Worth.

Cross Country Rider Summary: This is an easy to intermediate trail. Some decent climbs for Texas but nothing very technical. This trail is challenging because of the loose rocks..makes for fun, short downhills and uphills. Remember Rom when crashing here....safety first. Recommended Route: Any Other recommended trails in the same area: Dino Valley

Ridden Trail: Once a month

Reviewed by: Stan
, from Crowley, TX Summary: There are two trails in the park - outer and inner. The outer trail is a great workout, up and down steep rocky hills. The inner trail is easy to moderate, winding through the woods. The finale of both trails is a screamer of a dirt downhill (yes, there is a cutoff for those who don't care to indulge). The trails are not the easiest to follow, so link up with someone the first time. There are usually plenty of local riders present. They are exceptionally hospitible. It's well worth the effort. Recommended Route: The outer loop (expert) is hard to beat. Other recommended trails in the same area: Dinosaur Valley State Park near Glen Rose
