Weekend Warrior Summary: Trail Bio says it all. This is a Gem in the Heart of Texas! Technical and fun. I rode July 10th around 3 on a Hot Texas day. Shade was great, trail was smooth and I was solo the entire time. I hope the locals realize what they have and ride it. Bring yor Camelbak...I drank 3 liters in 2 hours. I'll be back next year...God Bless Texas Met some riders out at Dana Peak Park on Sunday, great guys and thanks for serving our country! Other recommended trails in the same area: Dana Peak Park if it is open.

Weekend Warrior Summary: The previous review pretty much sums it up well. You should definitely save your energy the first half of the trail because you will need much to make it back up to the bluff. It takes me about 1.5 hours to complete the entire track with one break just before the uphills. Other recommended trails in the same area: Dana Peak at Stillhouse Lake

Cross Country Rider Summary: great trail system.
intermediate is 8 miles of twisting , winding ST on bluff above lake. 1st half pretty level and smooth except for numerous rock gardens that challenge technically.
when you drop down off bluff to lake level, there are real challenges due to steepness of slop, loose scree and baby heads.
there are several miles of advanced trials that are aerobically and technically challenging.
"devils backbone" has a wicked line with tuff switchback rendering it an expert ride.
the climb back up to bluff will exhaust anyone.
i am not quite sure why this gets no press , because i found it to be one of the better trials in texas, considering length, challenges and flow.
i guess TBK gets a bum rap form hipsters in austin.
it left me satisfied.
