Upper Works Lake Hiking Trail

This trail is best for training. Nothing incredibly difficult. Has a great combination of uphills, downhills, all single-track. Some very muddy parts as well. On one particular part there is a bridge which runs about 200 yards built up off the ground, be careful or you'll hit a crack and fall into marsh below (that happened to me once). Very scenic, enjoyable run but can push you if you push yourself.

Man that other crackhead didn't know what he was talking about. This is a very easy trail, especially compared to places like Tyler state park, like I said though, it is good for training, very smooth ride, nice for beginners

Recommended Route:

Summary:
There is great tree cover and a few roots and hills to get big air. The downhills are fast and furious and you have to slice between trees or you'll break your neck!! If you just need a confidence builder before you tackle some wicked trails, then this is a great place to ride.

Recommended Route:
There is really only two ways to ride this trail. You can hit this sucker from the front or the back. My advice is just to push yourself both ways and take it as a training ground for the other huge mamma's around texas.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
This is a sweet trail, but i have never seen one awesome enough to get a FIVE !!!!
