Summary:
This is a fun trail with lots of quick ups and downs. Nothing too challenging but a good time none the less. Try riding it at night and it becomes a completely new trail. Check with the Adams Avenue crew for the Thursday night singlespeed ride. Geared bikes tolerated.

I give this trail a decent overall as it is close to home and I dont need to drive there.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Marthas, Mission Trails, Lake Morena, Noble, Penasquitos Canyon.

Summary:
It could be much more fun, but there are hikers, and dog walkers everywhere (there should be, it's a hiking & dog trail too). It's very easy, except for one rocky incline. It's a very good after work ride. It's also convieniently located. It's fun to watch the people at the velodrome riding in circles. Should we tell them about mountain bikes?

Recommended Route:
It's in the canyon just east of the Zoo. So go to the zoo, and park there, or go across the canyon and park at Morley Field. I ride this everyday. I park at the dog park, then go either up toward the velodrome, or down (south) toward Pershing.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
I've ridden on the West side of the SR163, but I don't know if it's legal. It might be.

Summary:
I recommend this ride to anyone that lives in the area. Especially if you can't make it outside the city and you want to get in a fast ride. Even though it is not too technical, it makes for a fast fun ride. There are so many off-shutes to this trail that you can make it different every time you ride. This is a great night ride as well. There is usually no one out after dark and you can get pretty jammin on this trail with proper lighting. Warning, there are sometimes joggers, walkers, few other bikers and dogs off of leashes, so be careful.

Recommended Route:
Start from the top of 26th street at the neighborhood park. Go down 26th on the West side on the dirt path. There are some cool wooden bridges that you can jam over without losing speed. Half way down, there is another bridge that is at a 90 degree angle. Plant a foot, break and you should be able to keep some momentum while crossing.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Please note that my rating is based on the fact that at least there is somewhere to ride in downtown San Diego.

Summary:
Started riding these trails a few weeks ago, and even though they're not especially long or technical they're fun. Lots of short, steep climbs and drops and even a few cool jumps.

Recommended Route:
Just get to Florida Canyon Rd. and use any of the trail entrances along the road.

Noble Canyon,Mission Trails,Sweetwater Reservoir,Lake Hodges

Summary:
This trail is worth your time only if you live in the area. It has some decent stuff, just not enough of it. You can link the east and west sides of the canyon into a loop that shouldn't take any experienced mountain biker more than fifteen minutes to finish. There are some interesting offshoots on the east side of the canyon. You can work on some technical climbing and the like. It's good for about 40 minutes worth of riding. It makes for a decent after work ride. Half of my rating is because of its convenient location.

Mission Trails
