Gradual fireroad climb with a couple flat segments to regain energy. Good trail to do after work (or school) before it gets dark (or with a light it is awesome at night). Can be done in 35-40 at a fast pace. You can return the way you came or you have a lot of options once you are at the top (like down to Brand Park). It is a well kept fireroad, very clean.

Summary:
Good smooth uphill fire road, that is challenging at times, an intermediate rider would take around 45 minutes to reach the first set of radio towers at the top, this is of course if you started from the Stough Canyon Nature Center where the fire road begins. Once at the top, you have nice views of the Valley, as well as Los Angeles and on clear days, the Ocean and Catalina Island. Coming down you have plenty of options in every direction, from fire roads to single track trails.

Recommended Route:
Climbing:Stough Canyon Fire Road to Verdugo Motorway to Radio Towers
Downhill:Preston Ridge Single Track to Old Youth Camp Loop to Stough Canyon Fire Road

Other recommended trails in the same area:
La Tuna Canyon Single Track, Hostetter Fire Road, Beaudry Fire Road, Brand Fire Road, Preston Ridge Single Track, Whiting Woods Fire Road, Verdugo Motorway.

Hi,

I just moved to the Burbank area and I am looking for a good close by trail to ride. I'll try this trail! Sounds like a good one. How many miles is it round trip?
