Cross Country Rider Summary: Ive only ridden this up from the Echo Mnt Connector, (where it turns into dirt) and man! its a fun ride up! Its pretty easy going the whole way up to Middle Merrill, even Mt.Lowe/Upper Merrill. Some spots have rocks and boulders in the trail from the staion fire, but its not that bad, just the trees around u are burnt. (trail is still open). Ive been on this 3 times now, and even though i climbed the steep singletrack up Echo Mnt. I still have enough energy to cruise right along the fireroad.. Never takin it going down though, that should be a great FAST ride! Recommended Route: Chaney Trail is closed, so take the Lower Sam Merrill out of Echo Mnt. hook a left on the Mt.Lowe Railway connector trail, then a right on the asphalt, *turns into dirt* and RIDE!! Other recommended trails in the same area: The WHOLE SAM MERRILL.

Cross Country Rider Summary:
Started @ Millard, up lower Sunset ST to pavement. Up pavement and down Sunset and back to Millard.
I use to really love this trail and rode it about once a week, at least. I haven't been on Sunset in about a year and man, has it changed. The only thing it's missing is the ice and you can have a full on luge course, burms and all. The break ruts are so deep it's ridiculous. You can’t help but to ride in it. Gone are the days where you have to navigate and try to find clean lines. This trail has been taken over and completely abused. It used to be such a fun and technical trail. What more can you say and what hasn't been already said?
What an effin shame!!!

Cross Country Rider Summary: Trial is easy...stop being a wuz over some little debree here and there....this is what make mtb great....otherwise, go circle around the rosebowl...
Been riding these trials for 8 years and so many kooks have really made a dent... Spooking every one on blind cornes and being total %#@'s.
This is what will get these places closed for everyone!! So now, the good trails my friends and I find don't get posted anywhere....Just tired of all these weekend freaks with no respect for the terrain or fellow riders....Ride on!! Recommended Route: Smae Other recommended trails in the same area: Nein!!

Downhiller Summary: Fire road going up to the tunnel is completly gone in some sections thx to the rains - I have never seen the fire road wash away like it did. Mt.Lowe single is in pretty bad shape in some sections, one slip and it's sucks to be you time or u just die. Upper Sam Merril is ok as always not much rain damage. Middle Sam Merril is also in pretty BAD shape thx to the rains but the section before the hotel ruins is full of rocks and obstacles which makes it pretty fun. Sunset kicks ass as always, just wash out for the hikers and missing parts of the trail.
Good riding, be kind to hikers, avoid the hunters, drug traffickers and bodyparts that you may come upon on these sweet trails.
