Tapia Canyon

This is a nice trail for beginners to intermediate level riders. We usually take the fire road going up then once on top, you have 2 choices on which single track to go down to then this will merge into a creekbed. You can take the fire road back again to take the other single track down. It's fun. You can ride a total of 12 to 15 miles when you do both single tracks.

Summary:
Directions on how to get to the trail head. Take 5 north and exit Parker Rd. then make a right. At the intersection by the Shell gas station, make a right. Up on the road, on the right, is the Castaic Sports Complex, this is where you can park. Once you are parked, follow the road until you hit a T-Road. Turn right and the next corner, make a left, now you are on Tapia Canyon Road. You will see parked trailer homes on the left and some horseback riding area on the right. Keep going up the road until it becomes a fire road. From that point, you can continue on up the fire road until you hit the first plateau. Hang a right continue up until you see a Y-Road, keep left going up until you reach the top with the 2 huge power line posts. From that point, you will see 2 single track trails one on the left and one on the right. There are no signs but you will notice the single trails. I hope this helps.
