Whiskey Flat Trail

The trail is fairly technical and there are some steep climbs. There are some nice views like Salmon Creek falls on the north end of the trail. Keep your eyes open though, it is easy to miss. There are many small creeks to ford too. All are easy except for Bull Run Creek. There you have to walk accross some small slippery logs while holding your bike in one hand and holding a cable for ballence in the other. The raging Kern River is visible most of the way.

Trail Directions	In Kernville, take Burlando Road north to the end to the parking lot. The trail starts right there. Alternately you can start at the other end by driving north from Kernville on 99 to Fairview. Look for the bridge that crosses the river. That is the trail head.
