, from WLA Summary: It sounds like people need to spend a little more time exploring!
Snakes....just don't try to pick them up!
During the winter, I do night rides with Universal Cycles from their location in Studio City. That way we don't have issues with hikers and can let loose on the single track! There's so many cool little loops, you just have to go with someone that knows where they're going! Recommended Route: Can't tell you the official names of the trails but I take White Fence to Fryman fireroad up to Tree People, cross Luarel Canyon and drop down by the Fire Department. From there you can explore. Once you're done, climb back up to Lureal Cayon and go back through Tree People, then hit Upper Baja. Make sure you stop just short of the end of Upper Baja and do the drop in on your left to Lower Baja! It's easier than it looks....then blast Lower Baja! It makes a good mid-week romp....

, from Tujunga, CA Summary: They should call this place SNAKE PEOPLE, a short poopy little ride with a whole community of rattlesnakes to really make it suck, Unless you did the threat of snake-bite look elsewhere for fun. Recommended Route: as described Other recommended trails in the same area: Any Other Trail

, from Los Angeles, CA Summary: This is a nice little trail, a fun quick fix great during weekdays, a very good training run (as others have said). My big beef with this trail is that THE TRAFFIC IN THE AREA IS GOD AWFUL! I live 6 miles away (to the south) and the last few times I tried to go, it took me over an hour to drive the last couple miles. There is long-term construction going on, so they say, on Laurel Canyon ... but I tried alternate routes and they are just as bad. So I stopped going to this trail because in the same amount of time I can be up the coast at a real mountain trail. Recommended Route: I recommend doing this on a day that won't be busy. I like to park at the bottom of the hill at Wilacre Park so you get the climbing work over with first ... then the downhill is much more enjoyable.
