This would be a very difficult trail to clean uphill. Downhill it starts easy and gets difficult quick. There is an intense middle section of about 200 yds. of steep and rocky drops. The bottom is somewhat easier with a few tricky sections.

Summary:
fun fun fun but way to short.Hit the rocky section as fast as you can and make sure you brought your cell phone so can call 911.Pick your line and go it.Don't bother shuttling this trail it only lasts 2 minutes as do most Laguna downhill trails.I usually hike a bike back up and keep riding the park.

Recommended Route:
up choya past lynx around the bend and there is a sign on the right side that says stairstep.enjoy

Summary:
As said before, starts out easy, ends easy, but middle section is advanced. All rocky, steep, and a few drop offs. Cannot be cleaned uphill; go downhill, do the drops, and have a blast!!!

Recommended Route:
Shuttle. Park one car at the dog park on Laguna Canyon Rd (hwy 133), and park the other car at Top of the World, go down West Ridge, past the water tower, and take StairSteps to the left.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
