Summary: I have been riding in these hills for only about two years or so, but I try to go atleast every other day. I think I have tried every trail up there, including "ChickenRun". I really enjoy the atmosphere, but I agree with a posted review about the walkers. In the morning there are many, on the weekend they are everywhere. I recomend going at about 4-4:30 in the evening to have less trafic. I only see about 2 actual bikers a week at that time, and a max of 5-8 people at that time.
Recommended Route: First off, park at the newly built horse corral. This is the best place to park if you bring your bike to the trail, but it is also the best starting point as I see it. The corral is located off of old Fullerton Road; go up/down fullerton and just past/before pathfinder, make your turn onto old fullerton. About one block down is the turnout into the corral. Just make a right. Once you are at the corral, go around the white gate and and stay on the road until you get to "4 corners". You will know that you are there because if you look to your left there is a climb, to your right there is a climb, and infront of you there is a downhill. The downhill is fun but veryquick, and lands you in schebarum. I would take the trail on your left which goes towards the radio tower. You will hit another white gate that you can go under, then make a right continuing up the hill. It streches aways up and curves around to the right. Once at the top where you can see the driveway to the radio tower, just continue straight and there are some mild slopes up, and then a right turn down a hill that used to be very rutted, but now is pretty flat. WARNING: There is a 90 degree right turn at the bottom of...
Other recommended trails in the same area: this hill, SLOW DOWN! After you make the right, you can take the hill up and continue around the downhill, all the way to the western corner of scebarum. Its a lot of fun. After you get to schebarum, goto where the horse stables are and you can follow that rode up. If you do not turn at the signs that say no dirtbikes or cars, you will eventually get back to four corners, and just continue straight to end your ride, or you can go up the switchbacks and end up on old fullerton, and then ride back to the horse corral. NOTICE: If you go back up towards 4 corners, right when you get to the steeper part, you can look to your right and see a single track going down a mountain. This is Chicken Run. I did it once, and dont think I will again..or atleast untill I find a way to get up there other than hiking up the face...good luck...

Ridden Trail: Once a month

Summary: I love this area, but probably because I grew up in the area. I've been hiking and biking these trails for 18 years, since I was a cub scout. The very first ride is the one I usually do when I'm back in the area. Two words of caution-If you ride in the morning, be very careful of the elderly asain walkers, they're everywhere and usually in groups, also close to the equestrian center be extremely cautious of horses. I once had a twenty mph encounter with one which fractured a vertebrae and severly damaged my bike. Keep in mind they do many lessons here, so many of the riders will not be experienced. As for the singletrack most of those have appeared in the last five to ten years or so, I think created by the previously mentioned morning walkers. Every time I've tried to ride them, I end up with something pointy in my tires, plus they're so short, I don't feel they're really worth the time.
Recommended Route: They're all pretty good.

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Summary: This was the first time I rode this trail. My friend and I rode up to the powerline, 3 miles up, the down a nice single track back to where we started. Too bad there are no markers on the trail to identify which trail you're on. On the way up, I must have seen at least 5 single tracks that were prime rippin' trail. Is there a map of this place? I'm definetly coming back and do some exploring. Overall, w/the singletracks that I saw, this could be an easy intermediate to advance rating. Update next week...

Summary: it's a short ride but a good climbing workout. The trail can be connected further west or east in the Puente Hills. Fire road and trails goes all over place. I've been riding here for years and still don't know some of those trails goes.
Recommended Route: Follow Scott J's route up the switch back (single track...not really) before you reach to the top of the climb look for a single track on the right. it's a little up hill before decent to the "4 corner". Turn right to go back to the horse stable. I recommand go straight and climb all the way up the towers and decent as Scott J described. I also like to do this loop in reverse. The steep climb up is good training (I saw Tinker came up that trail once. I understand he used to ride here all the time) The reverse way also has more fun on downhilling.
