Cross Country Rider Summary: I've ridden my bicycle up that trail and past a ranger in her truck and she said nothing to me. As far as I can remember there are NO "No Bikes" signs and you ARE allowed to ride up there. It's not the best place to ride because it is always crowded with hikers and dogs, but bikes are allowed. Recommended Route: Climbing from the top of Fuller provides a good workout. Coming down along Mulholland provides a fast descent. Other recommended trails in the same area: Dirt Mulholland

Cross Country Rider Summary: I hope that all Mt.bikers understand the reputation that we are always fighting. There is a strong lobby lead by hikers and equestrien folks to keep bikes off the trails. When I see the retards riding Runyon Canyon no wonder why they hate us. When there are city meetings discussing the use of trails there are always people complaining about mountain bikers. Their complaints are formed by the overall exposure to the sport. So when they see you being stupid at Runyon Cy. they have more complaints. Runyon Cy. is NOT for bikes. It is a dog park. There are "No Bikes" signs. However, the bigest no bike sign is the dogs running around. You can't possibly have fun with dogs running through your spokes. I love to ride and I love my dogs more. When I see bikes weaving in and out of dogs I can't help but think what I would do if one of my dogs got hit. I would hang that bike from the sign that says "NO BIKES" When I read the reviews it is obvious that you people are amatures. Those who call it good for downhill, you have never been on a downhill trail. For those of you who think it is o.k. to ride there try riding when the rangers are there. You will then see another sign that bikes are not allowed, it will be on your ticket. Be a positive ambassador to the sport. Go to a trail that is open for bikes and respect others. Recommended Route: go to the gate turn around and go to another trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: read the reviews

Cross Country Rider Summary: Great, weird fun ride - carry your bike up the east trail, ride up the west trail, explore the side trails near the red house near Mulholland. Watch out for people and dogs - go early, or mid-day to avoid people and dogs (and don't believe the BS from the prior poster about "No Bike" signs...that's totally bogus.

, from west hollywood Summary: fun for beginners who can't ride uphill for a long time. Nice views all the way down. Too short and too many people. The best time is around 6 or 7 P.M. Recommended Route: Have two cars and two people. Have one car waiting for you at the bottom. Drive up to the top and ride the bikes down. Then drive back up to pick up the car.
