Royal Palms Dual Slalom
8 reviews
 3 of 5

Pro-level dual slalom course with everything: two nearly-identical side-by-side courses, every kind of corner, easy and hard jumps, and elevation changes. It even has slalom 'gates' and start 'boxes'! Bring a buddy to race with. If you want fun dual slalom in So Cal, this is it! Watch out on the jumps. Some are made funky on purpose to build skills. Modifying or grooming the course is also discouraged to build skills. Just ride around them and rejoin the course if you cant jump them. If you knock out a gate, please put it back or pick a new one - they grow all over. The course crosses the paved road twice. Race down, push up, repeat several times! There are also some 'DH training courses' here (ST), and some dirt jumps. *Thanks to Orlando for 3 years of work to build this fun spot!

Summary:
No review is needed as there are no more trails. Everything is cleaned out. There are irrigation hoses all over the place. Bottom line, no pro level slalom, you can ride from the top of the hill to the bottom if you want, but it is not worth the time.

Recommended Route:
Don't even bother leaving your seat.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Try "The Dike" in Huntington Beach.

Summary:
At the top of Western ave., theres a single trail on the hill on the left this will lead you to a hole in the fence where these other trails begin. They are still there, but are torn up now with backhoes making way for the White Point preserve that just keeps growing everyday. When its all done, with a little manuel labor, they can be as fun as ever.

Recommended Route:
110 FRWY to end of Gaffey south. Merge Right on 25th st. then to Western south. Park near Apts at the bottom of the hill or Royal Palms Beach park on top.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Del Cerro, Palos Verdes Bluffs, Forrestal Quarry
