Cross Country Rider Summary: The start of the trail was very heavily washed out by recent rains. Had to get off the bike often. After that it was a great ride. Parts of the trail had a rut down the center of the trail making it more challenging to climb at times. The views were spectacular. Recommended Route: Will wait till the trail drys up in the summer time. Other recommended trails in the same area: Marshall Canyon, Claremont Wilderness trail

Cross Country Rider Summary: Monroe is ridable up the stream bed although it is kinda rocky and technical. Once you reach the fireroad it is time to start climbing. You have to get off your bike a couple of times due to last years storms washing out the trail. Once you reach the first lookout you can keep climing although the trail get more overgrown the higher you go or take Mystic back down the other side. Mystic is the best its been in years and is completely ridable. Watch your speed you never no when your going to run into a horse or hiker. Recommended Route: Once you get to the first look out go down the tail to the left not poop out.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Since the heavy rainfalls in 03' the trail was pretty badly messed up. I usually park on GMR and ride up but the first mile or so in the valley is all rocky and the trail is pretty washed away, although is has probably been reestablished by now. the main trail had many deep washouts and kinda makes it a pain to complete when you're doin a quick run. look out for rattlers in the heat, ive seen a few rattler trails on the trailhead so be careful. once you get the nice climb outta the way, theres a beautiful reward at the top, on clear days i can see out to downtown and farther. it really makes tho whole ride worth it. Recommended Route: i used to park by the closed gate but now they require an adventure pass, so you can either buy one from sport chalet near by or park in the streets down the hill and ride up the street. it makes for a nice lil sprint on your way back, ive hit about 45 downhill coming back to my car.

, from La Verne Summary: Great climb, great view, was doing this ride at night until the USFS closed because of fire danger. Still have never ridden this during the day. Awesome views at night. Recommended Route: Take the whole trail up to the summit, then go down GMR for about 2-3 miles and take the widows single track back down to the trail head.

, from Glendora Summary: Please exercise caution, because you will encounter horses on this trail. There are several large stable, equestrian homes in the area. The equestrians maintain and groom the trails. Do not ride up fast on horses, please make noise so riders know you are coming around blind curves. Please greet the rider, so the horse knows you are a human. Please respect the trail in our hometown which we work hard to maintain. We have trail-day every April if you care to join us for maintenance. Lets work together to save our trails, so you don't lose priveledges due to a few dangerous bikers. Going down the switch back at Poop out is narrow, very steep, slippery and extremely rocky. Horse riders like to ride up it to condition their animals. Expect them. Recommended Route: Do not go down single track from Poop out, if you run into a horse, someone could get really hurt. If you do go down it, proceed with caution, announce your presence, yield to hikers and horse-riders.
