Weekend Warrior Summary: I was up there last weekend and the trail is open, and whoops are still there. I guess the below post were from someone who wants to discourage riders from coming here.
about 6 people on the trail. 3 in the middle. I blew my new shock. the valve stem broke out of the shock body. maybe i forgot to turn off the lock up and blew it out. who knows. Recommended Route: I made a mistake on the map because it was to small, scroll to the left to find kenter. Other recommended trails in the same area: take the kenter trail all the way to Mulholland, go left to the Nike site or Sullivan Canyon down. 8 mile descent on fire roads.

Downhiller Summary: A yeah I spoke with a associate of The Getty museum the other day and things dont look good. We are going to be denied access to our trails starting asap. They have plans for that area and it does not include bikes. The ranger's have been hanging around just waiting for some downhiller to show up so they can have a new bike. I would find a new place to jump if I were you. Sorry Recommended Route: No Other recommended trails in the same area: ??

Downhiller Summary: Kenter is closed now. The jumps are gone. If you go up there the rangers will take your bike. So long

Downhiller Summary: In response to the review below, this one and a half mile stretch of singletrack is a speck in the 153,075 acres of Santa Monica Mountains. It is quite selfish and narrow minded to pass judgments on the purpose of one trail versus the next. For all intensive purposes the Kenter Coaster is a practice course for the many Downhill/Mountain Cross/BMX riders of Los Angeles. Although the last few hundred feet include jumps the average rider cannot tame, the entire 1.5 miles are easily ridden by a novice cyclist. You contradict yourself by saying that it is public land but oppose its existence because it does not serve your purposes.
Bottom line: if no one wanted to ride it, it wouldn't be there ;)

Cross Country Rider Summary: This used to be a great trail until some people with shovels decided to change a large portion of the trail into a dirt jumping area. I wasn't opposed to adding a few jumps , but this has gotten way out of hand. This trail has been ridden for years the way it was and to just come along and dig up so much of the trail is wrong. This trail is public land and who decided that it was their trail to modify.
