Ridden Trail: Once a month

, from Tujunga Summary: This ride continues to change from fireroad to singletrack every year. The brush in many sections has narrowed the the road to a singletrack. In other areas rocks have littered 100 foot sections leaving only a very narrow "line" through the rocks. These conditions combined with this trails steepness and looseness makes for a very challenging climb and one of the best desents in Socal. There are at least four different singletracks that decend from the southside of the "road" between mile 1.3 and 2.7. Have some fun and go exploring. Just make sure to bring good skills and brakes these trails make the "road" look flat and well maintained. With overcrowding a problem in other areas of Socal, this place is gem. Recommended Route: Same Other recommended trails in the same area: Stone Cyn, Trail Cyn, Condor Pk, Oak Springs,ETC.

, from tujunga ca usa Summary: The actual climb is 5.9 miles up to the top, not 7 miles as posted. The elevation change is 2800 ft. not 2400 as stated before. This is a pretty hard ride for people not acustomed to steep lose accents. Bring lots of water in the summer as the ride is allways in the sun. Screaming down from the towers is flat out rad.ON your ride up at mile 1.3 ten feet before the open gate is a raging singletract that spits you out between the 3rd and fourth houses on the right side of the street were you parked. Recommended Route: The same way as posted

, from tujunga Summary: Not for the weakhearted. This is a demanding climb but for someone looking for a challenge this would be a good workout. I would agree that it is a climb all the way up but it is like a single track in a fireroad. Coming down is great and makes the climb almost worth it. Not very many people bother riding it and you will never encounter droppers screaming down at you. Everyone who comes down has earned the descent and can respect your efforts. Recommended Route: Park at the top of Haines canyon and ride through the gate and past the pond Stay to the right and at 1.3 miles stay to the right again. At 2.7 you will pass a singletrack turnoff to Dunsmuir park which is mostly ridable but has a washed out bridge right now. Keep goin up until you reach the top and stay to the right to loop up to the highest point where the Geological survey markers are. 5.8 miles and about 2700' climb. the view is great on a clear day you can see Catalina . Other recommended trails in the same area: Continue over the top and stay right when you see the turnoff to Grizzly flats and you will come to the top of Earl canyon. You can descend this and ride down Palm Ave. to Foothill Blvd and ride back on the street to your ride and make an almost 20 mile loop.
