Cross Country Rider Summary: From the parking lot at the top of First Street/Long Canyon and Wood Ranch pkwy, there are two access points to you can use. One leaves from the parking lot and the other is below the parking lot 50 yards down the paved road. there is a pathway through the gate that takes you behind the housing track. Recommended Route: If your feeling strong, the climb directly from the parking lot is a beast. Its a great trail, not to rutty but plenty of loose gravel/rocks and there are quite a few hikers to be mindful of. Beautiful scenery and the peak gives you access to many different trails.
The side trail begins with a gradual climb and a few steep but short segments (great for beginners or as a warm-up). This trail wraps around the peak where you can also climb from behind. There are a multitude of loops you can do without riding the same trail and you also have access to trails that scatter in every direction.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Great trail! I have explored a lot of the trails back there and there are still many more to go. I tried going up the trail my first time and had major problems. I walked up most of it as the rocks gave me trouble. So I decided to take a different route and was able to go down. That was a blast. you must watch out for hikers though. Ihighly recomend rying this trail Recommended Route: same as above Other recommended trails in the same area: chumash
los robles

, from Simi Valley Summary: I am a pretty new rider and I found this trail to be very difficult in the beginning getting up the hill. Takes alot of cardio to make it but once you get to the top of Long Canyon Trail you have free rane to fire roads that stretch out everywhere. I have only done the run once so far and the way I took is as follows: Got to top of trail, went left down fire road, made a sharp right down an intersecting fire road which goes down and you get alot of speed. That takes you to Westlake Blvd. From there you can connect up with Alberson trail. I do not know the street names but you come out at Westlake BLVD, go left, makre first right, go to end of street go left, goes up a hill and to your left and thats where the trail is. Recommended Route: off the 118 east, get off at first st, go left. Take it about 3 miles down past Cochran, LA Ave, Royal and them some. It climbs up a hill and to the right. You will come on long canyon housing track nestled against hills. You will come up on Wood Ranch Parkway which intersects First Street. You will see the dirt parking lot straight ahead. Park there and the trail head is right there Other recommended trails in the same area: Rocky Peak/ G- Spot

, from Simi Valley, CA Summary: This is a great trail for all skill level riders. It connects to various other trails that can take you either to Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Or even Chatsworth via the Rocky Peak/Santa Susana Pass Trail. Recommended Route: Off Madera turn into Wood Ranch (Wood Ranch Pkwy), head south about 2 miles. The pkwy dead-ends and continues left. At the dead end there's a dirt parking lot, there's the trail head. Other recommended trails in the same area: Rocky Peak
