Summary:
This trail is my home. If you are riding there for a first time ask the local guys where to ride. Cross Country riders please do not ride up the single track, take the ride road up.

Recommended Route:
DH/ Freeride
-Doubles(Right at Porta Potty) into single track, cut into rock doubles, through the small single track cut over a trench on aladder, to Fireroad drops, to ski jump, rock garden and then hommeeee.
-Slalom(go past the porta potty and instead of making the bend around the fireroad go strait into a little opening. my fav.)

XC-Slalom or Grand Canyon make a left after the hump before you enter slalom.

RPV Bans Mountain Bikes From Many Trails
Nick Green DAILY BREEZE. Daily Breeze. Torrance, Calif.: Dec 5, 2004. pg. A.3

Mountain bikers who use the 160-acre former quarry known as the Forrestal property in Rancho Palos Verdes will soon find themselves banned from more than half the hilly trails there that they currently enjoy.

The Rancho Palos Verdes City Council made the surprise decision Saturday at the conclusion of an all-day workshop, attended at its peak by more than 100 people, that was held in part to determine trail usage on the tract.

The unanimous decision stunned local cyclists and staff of the nonprofit Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, which is managing the land for the city. About 45 meetings over the past three years have been held to carefully craft a plan for trail usage that balanced the competing concerns of hikers, conservationists, cyclists and equestrians.

Such a drastic reduction in trails mountain bikers could use was not contemplated in the usage plan a steering committee had recommended.

Instead it was adopted from an alternate plan pushed by the local Sierra Club chapter.

Local members of the recently formed Palos Verdes chapter of the Concerned Off Road Bicyclists Association, quickly left the meeting before they could be asked for their reaction.

Summary:
Del-Cerro was a fun ride. There are trails for all levels of Mtn Bkrs. There is a lot of twistie single trax that lead to the fire roads. It's almost impossibe to get lost. If you like a challenge on this ride I recommend Rattlesnake & grang canyon. The view is not that bad either......8-)

Recommended Route:
Print a map of sbmbc.com, and ride the red and blue trails that are marked on the map.
