Cross Country Rider Summary: Aliso Canyon is fun stuff and can be for any level. Alot of the most advanced trails are 3-4 mins. Some arent even on the map because too many people were getting hurt on them. Not really a good downhill place unless you go on my favorite "Stairstep" which is also more technical than most. Overall it has a trail for everyone and takes at around 20 mins to actually find a good trail. Recommended Route: Novice - "Coyote" Inter/Advanced "Carwreck" "Cholla" "Rockit" alot more... Other recommended trails in the same area: Laguna Coast Wilderness Park "very close to Laguna Beach"

Weekend Warrior Summary:
This trail is near where I live so I bike there from home entering off of Renaldi. Its a mild trail but very nice to ride. I am not sure but I think the trail went back futher into the hills at one point however there is a housing development going up and the trail pretty much dead ends there. You can make a left after crossing a creek bed and follow the trail but its really hacked up with sand bags and tarp to control water run off during the storm season. I am not sure what the distance from Rinaldi to the back end is but I would say its not more than a mile 2 at the most so if you are looking for longer ride this is not for you.
If you are a novice like me just getting back into riding then this is the trail for you, not to demanding but enough to work on balance, creek jumping and mild hills with out giving you a heart attack. I hardly ever see anyone there but I go early AM or late in the day after work. Recommended Route: There is a fire road about 20 yards from the main enterence that is gated, I enter there and is a streight shot to the back of the park.

Racer Summary: I went to this trail with the hopes of getting a demo bike from Performance Bike which is right off of the 5 on Alicia Pkwy. Unfortunatley that didn't happen so I ended up doing a long trail run instead.
The park is very well kept and consists primarily of hard packed dirt and some semi loose sandy soil. There were also some cool slick rock (sand stone) sections that looked to be off limits to bikes. The day I was there I saw a lot of bikers and very few people on foot. The park didn't appear to be that technical, but then again I only got about 5 miles into the park, so I may have missed a lot. Defintley a place for all abilities. I had a good time running there. Would love to check it out on a bike sometime. Recommended Route: Check out dripping cave. Supposidly bandits used it as a hide out after robbing stage coaches back in the day.

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is now closed due to construction. There is a large planned unit development going below Sesnon Blvd on the east side of the canyon, and a construction closure sign is posted at the bottom.
This used to be a nice place for a quickie ride after a workday, etc. I saw a full grown cougar lounging on a big tree branch once.
You used to be able to go up Aliso and down Limekiln. I guess now you'll just have to go up and down Limekiln instead. Recommended Route: None. Trail is closed Other recommended trails in the same area: Limekiln Canyon is a nice, but short (3 mile out and back)intermediate ride in the same area.
