Downhiller Summary: this is a good trail. i have only ridden the top section of it though. the top starts out with some tabletops and then goes to a logride. after that there is a steep kind of section, not really though. it is pretty rocky though Recommended Route: just go to the top of vista go to your left and go down sticks and stones, if you don't want to do the whole thing you can cut off on flameout. Other recommended trails in the same area: all trails that don't suck at northstar

Downhiller Summary: Sweet trail!!
Full of singletrack switchbacks, flowing rock gardens, and a few nice drops just large enough to be fun.
Ride this trail once to set your lines. Second run...balls out all the way to the bottom. Recommended Route: try to take the center or far outside lines on all drops as the landings turn into deep v shaoed ruts early in the season. Other recommended trails in the same area: If you are looking for som more technical riding head over to Karpiel

, from Monterey CA Summary: Did this one last summer on a 93 piece O crap univega hardtail with no front suspension. I am happy to report that I am still able to use all my limbs. 10+ years of BMX skills saved my arse on this one and relish the thought of going back this summer with my new full suspension (and body armor)Some of the most punishing tec riding I've ever seen, scary as hell drops over no escape boulder routes and sharp rocks. The freeride guys I met on the trail asked me if I was trying to maim myself but were very nice about it. After my first descent left me with huge blisters on my palms from front end bashing down the mountain I found the first aid station didn't have much in the way of first aid, lucky I wasn't really hurt. The bike shop had duct tape with which to wrap my hands for a few more runs. One of the best rides out there, but heed my warning, don't do it on a hard tail unless you are 1. very experienced, 2. very lucky, 3. don't mind asking your friends to untie your shoes later because your hands and wrists are still resonating the pain every rock, log and drop of the day. Other recommended trails in the same area: Mr.Toads is one of the best as well!
