Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from Bay Area Summary: There is a lot of jagged rock heading down Harkins. The trail is also covered with lots of pine needles so watch your speed Recommended Route: If you start off at the North Ridge parking lot, off of Skyline blvd, head down Harkins and then up Whitmore. But I would recomend parking down near the Ford dealership in Half Moon Bay, off highway 1. Head up Whitmore while your still fresh and then get paid off by riding down Harkins. Other recommended trails in the same area: Skeggs Point

, from Menlo Park Summary: This is a fun trail to ride. there is a small uphill at the beginning of the trail but then is all DH after that-fun stuff. This trail is more along the lines of a fireroad, but fun nonetheless. there are some sick waterbars that you can get air off of, just watcht your landing. Recommended Route: well, if you're into the whole DH/freeride thing then leave your buddies car at the bottom, and drive up to the top(skyline acess) with another car. go in and take harkins down, there's really no other way if you want to do this trail cause it's pretty straight. Whitmore Gulch trail is also sweet. Other recommended trails in the same area: VERY fun trail. whitmore gulch is even better though, check that one out.(same access point as harkins)

, from mackellar Summary: I dug it. make sure you don't get too much air on those drainage trenches. Recommended Route: Start at the northern entrance to purisma creek on skyline drive. Ride down to harkins and continue to the bottom. Why would you ride up this? It's for downhill. No walkers on this smack either. Then, ride back up whittemore gulch.

, from Bay area Summary: Take this trail to the top and then Whittmore gulch down. This one is just a boring fire-road w/a gentle grade. Recommended Route: This trail is a good way to get to the top of Whittlore gulch, but that's about it...
