Recently opened by Solano County Land Trust, there are sick, almost-deadly climbs on dry-ass fireroads here. Hella cattle and the accompanying cow pies to avoid. Short sections of single track. No water, bring your own, and a lot of it. Eight well-marked trails make it easy to do a ten mile loop. I have only seen one other mountain bike rider there in ten visits (and he was sobbing like a little child on an easy climb). Costs $5.00 to park. One of the rangers is an avid rider, so he will not shoot you. The other one might (good cop / bad cop). There is basically no one ever here. Hit me up if you want to meet for a ride.
Summary: not a bad spot. it would be a great spot to keep your fitness up. it does not get ridden that much so the single tracks are not real smooth but it was a fun trip. Lots of big hills to climb so you also et some great fast down hill also. There is not alot of sigle track but there is some if you look for it. There is also some small rock gardens up on the prairie ridge trail.
Recommended Route: counter clock wise.

Summary: A windy nonstop climb through the hills of American Canyon (watch out for the cows!). Mostly fire roads with some just cut single track. A bit dry, dusty, and bumpy due to the wind and new trails. Great views. Not much worth biking here (only ridden once). Not technical, but the climbs are seemingly endless. Good alternative if you want a change of pace from Rockville or Napa Skyline trail. Better than Pena Adobe park (Vacaville). No one else was there.
Recommended Route: Park outside the park to save $5. I took the Perimeter fire road counterclockwise to Prairie Ridge, to Kestrel trail, and the S Valley back to the parking area. Next ride (if I can convince anyone to go back) will be counter clockwise to middle valley to prairie ridge to kestrel to S valley. I think that will be less up and down or at least more singletrack.

Summary: I ride this a few times a week, and there are STILL sections that I cannot make. There is a downhill (Kestrel trail) that you get going about 35mph on, and then it abruptly ends at a barbed wire fence. FUN. I love this place because there never anyone else there and I can't stand other human beings.
Recommended Route: If you ride the perimeter of the place counter clockwise, it's more enjoyable. Gives you time for your legs to warm up. If you ride it clockwise, you are pounding uphill from the staging area, and well, it sucks. The North Ridge trail is unbelievably steep at the very beginning, I often sit at the foot of it and sob for a while before I ride / walk up it LOL. But once you make the tough climbs, there are some awesome fun downhills.
Other recommended trails in the same area: I mostly ride in my front yard.
