Ridden Trail: Every few months

Cross Country Rider Summary: This is a short, quick, and fun trail. Depending on how you ride it, can be fairly easy or quite challenging. The land the trail is on was sold a few years back, but the new owner still allows bike access with the understanding that no new trail building/modifications be made on the property and everyone riding the trail sign a waiver. Check with Gearhead bike shop in Pacifica for more info. Recommended Route: Go around the gate at the end of Higgins road and ride up the old Coast Highway until you get to the first set of high-voltage power lines. If you look toward Shamrock Ranch/Highway 1, the dirt trail to the right takes you to Boyscout. Boyscout will eventually drop you back on to Higgins road and then you can do it all over again.
Parts of the trail don't drain well so please don't ride it when it's wet and muddy. Other recommended trails in the same area: A fair amount of trails in the area ranging from easy and scenic to crazy DH stuff. Just be mindful of private property and poison oak. Read the other trail reviews here or stop by the Chamber of Commerce in Rockaway Beach for a trail map. (not everything, but enough to get you started)

Downhiller Summary: This trail is great. Its a 30-45 min. ride if you only hit the jumps once. I rode it for the first time today. Theres a jump literally like every 30 feet. Theres big gaps for the pros, and theres also smaller 5-6 foot ones. I live 20 min. away from the trail, but I'd drive 2 hours to ride it. Recommended Route: theres only 1 route, really, i guess Other recommended trails in the same area: crack
