Green Ranch Trail Camp Surprize
1 reviews
 3 of 5

This ride starts at 2700 Feet and goes up to 2800 then down to 2400 on pretty solid fire roads. The possibilities are numerous once you get to Green Ranch. Go back out the way you came or go down to Frog Pond, Chase Pond or Curry Canyon to get back to the Mt Diablo Summit Rd. There is a really cool abandoned youth camp with tons of stuff to look at (Green Ranch). Check out the photos at http://www.edog-edog.com/greenranchweb/greenranchgallery.html This is not a super challenging ride (500 Vertical) but worth seeing a piece of Mt Diablo History. To make a Bigger loop go to Curry Canyon and climb the summit trail back up to Juniper.

Summary:
This is not all that challenging of a ride as it is on fire trails, but what you see when you get there is really cool. An abandonded camp with everything from fire places to a Huge 8 foot deep swiming pool. They are in the procees of removing this camp so get to it before it is gone.
