Weekend Warrior Summary: I remember when no one knew about this place! And now every time I go there, it seems like more and more people are finding out about this. Coyote Hills is a good warm up ride. Some nice long uphills, and speedy downhills, and my absolute favorite steep single track with a great view on top, then fun downhill on the other side! I'm not good at explaining where it is but I recommend you find it & do it! Ha! Recommended Route: Everywhere!

Cross Country Rider Summary: This is a good place to go if you are looking to include young children or trailered children. We hit this place up pulling the trusty old Burley and had a good time. Relatively flat and doable. Trails are wide, very wide. A little windy but what isn't in this area? Recommended Route: whole park.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Possibly the best kept secret in the East Bay. I used to do this ride daily. Coyote Hills is unique in that you can make it as easy or as difficult as you'd like. Lots of stuff for every level. No serious 'downhills' but VERY steep singletrack, your choice, up or down. This is the place I learned to hang 'em over the rear tire. Recommended Route: anywhere! The top of the paved hill by the water storage/Nike missile silo/police firing range....has the previously mentioned single track that starts along the chain link fence. Very short, but very steep.
At the bottom of the same hill (paved) and slightly to the left I think is a very steep single track going straight up. I used to do it in a 28/28, 'cause in 93, that was considered really small gearing! It'll wake you up.
Ride safe and be aware there may be lots of hikers on the weekends. Other recommended trails in the same area: Mission Peak from Ohlone College entrance.

Downhiller Summary: I like this trail because it's near to my house. it's a smooth riding. I always start from my house to the top of the hill in cayote hills the one with the antenna, and my favorite is when you go downhill going at least 40miles an hour. This is good for beginner to intermediate there's a lot of option to take either rod bike or mountain biking. Recommended Route: the one with the stairs from the top of the hill to the parking area, it's a 40 degrees downhill at least.
