Downhiller Summary: The greatest place to ride if you know how to ride. Some of the craziest things youll ever see, for being where it is.Its an awsome to ride. jumps, drops, gaps, ruff terrain. Recommended Route: everything, if you do every type of riding. Other recommended trails in the same area: waterdog

Cross Country Rider Summary: Dont confuse Carlmont (trails above Carlmont High School) with Waterdog (trails on other side of hill and by the Lake)
Waterdog is mostly XC trails that you can ride on a cross bike, while Carlmont is a DJ and DH haven. Drops, doubles, pump track, gaps... it has pretty much everything that I like to watch from a distance. There are a couple of smaller jumps that a DJ noob like me can take, but its much funner to watch the regulars there do big hit after big hit. I can only do maybe 10% of the features there, but its still damn fun for me.

Cross Country Rider Summary: A great park for the middle of the suburbs. You can ride this on any bike. Fun, moderately technical trails with great views and varied landscapes, from forest chapparal. Some short steep stuff, but nothing unrideable. A good time and a great after-work ride. Recommended Route: Take the Ralston ave. exit off of 280, turn left at the end of the ramp. Look for Halmark drive on your right (first or second right), take the first or second left onto lake drive, park. Two fire roads split, take the right, ride till you hit singletrack, enjoy. Other recommended trails in the same area: Skeggs, Demo, the usual.

Downhiller Summary: There is so many different lines it is insane. ther trails are not for the normal biker. These are for expirienced dirt jumpers and downhillers only! Tho some of the lines are easyer than others they are all pritty hard core.
