Racer Summary: This loop is a good resource if you're looking to ride someplace that is flat and dirt. It is a 10 mile loop where all the scenery is pretty similar, but dynamic in the fact that you see different birds and notice different things, so doing 2 or 3 loops isn't really boring or redundant.
This is a great place to recover from an injury, tow a kid, bring the beginner cyclist or just check out. Technical it is not, it could be ridden with a road bike no problem. The geography of the area is very unique and when you think about it, there are not many places in the world where you can ride around in a coastal wetland. There are tons of big birds, ducks, trains, blimps, airplanes, hunters, abandoned sailboats and other weird things out here. I like it. Recommended Route: Really only one way to go. I wish it connected throughout the bay. We would have a world class recreational area if they connected all these levies. Other recommended trails in the same area: Byxbee and shoreline.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Not an exciting ride, but good for a cyclocross workout after work. It's a flat loop that takes you out into the middle of nowhere. It's peaceful though cause there's no one out there. Trail is smooth for the most part. Recommended Route: Clockwise...counterclockwise...it's a loop and you'll hit the wind either way Other recommended trails in the same area: None unless you have a kayak

, from San Jose, CA Summary: No actual challenge riding here, just a lot of wind. And I really mean a lot of wind! At times it seems as if you are riding uphill. Lots of birds. Did I meantion lots of wind. The wind also changes directions out there. In the late afternoon you can often ride into the wind on the way out there, and then ride into the wind on the way back. The ride does lose it interest after a few trips though. Recommended Route: To the right of the parking lot straight out and just follow the path. At one point you'll be what seems like the middle of the bay. To the west, Moffett Field, to the east, The NUMI Plant, you right in the middle.
