, from OakLand Summary: Everyone hates fireroads but this is an epic fireroad jaunt worthy of your time. Ranges from deep redwood forests to scrub brushy plants. Climbs are ugly and descents are a blast. There's nothing technical really but you can go fast enough such that you've got to pick a good line through some rocky sections. Hikers are rare and visibility good. So you can hammer without fear. Do ride smart and respectfully as hikers and equestrians do exist. Recommended Route: This is part Pine mountian and BoOOOOOlinas ridge loop. Buy a map at Sunshine bike shop in Fairfax and get the story there. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lots of loops on Pine mtn and Mt Tam. The best legal ride might be down Eldridge. Avoid busy weekends.
