Ridden Trail: Once a week

Cross Country Rider Summary: finding and riding this trail will make the Fast Loop in the headlands a lot more interesting. bumpy and fast, the maricello west descent is glorious fun so long as you don't ride headlong into another user on one of the many slight turns in the trail that are blind. wintertime here is another story, because this annex to marincello becomes a drainage channel in many sections of the trail--so if you like to get muddy and wet in a big way, ride this trail in the rainy season. Recommended Route: it must be mentioned that the legality of riding this trail is DUBIOUS. no signs exist at the trail entrance, and there are at least three exits from the trail back on to the main fire road, one of which leads you almost directly in to miwok stables, which is a distinctly bad idea. with these things mentioned, the route is simple--you are no more than ten fifteen yards away from the main fire road at any time. riders on the main fire road will look at you like you're sporting two heads because they don't know where the trail you're riding is. Other recommended trails in the same area: anything that makes you ride long enough to be really hungry at the end of your trip.
