Cross Country Rider Summary:
bobcat 2 adds an entirely new perspective to what is a generally run-of-the-mill marin headlands/stables loop from san francisco. it's singletrack and all singletrack, whichs adds a little habenero sauce to the genuinely stultifying and painful fire road climb--or the autobahn-on-dirt bobcat fire road descent. Recommended Route:
trail is to the SHARP LEFT approximately a quarter mile from the top on the descent and on the right, and on a GENTLE RIGHT about an eighth of a mile from the bottom on the climb.
if you're stupid enough to try the descent during the daytime, be sure to BEAR RIGHT when the trail splits near the bottom, after the big rock outcropping between this trail and the fire road. the LEFT FORK dumps you almost dead into the stables, thus that part of the trail is probably not a good place to be seen on a mountain bike.
