Good after work ride. Not a big park, but you can loop different routes together. Watch for poison oak during the summer.

Summary:
This trails are great, super fun and technical, new latters being built, overall is super smooth with dual suspension, some sketchy parts.........

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Carlmont jumps, some of the craziest jumps, gaps, drops. Stuff that can test even pros.

Summary:
Fun technical ride with quick tight climbs and descents. It is not system where you can go wide open full throttle downhill, and you are almost always constantly pedaling (no coasting). The climbing is not that bad, except for some really short/steep sections. Trails are kept in good condition, and its a great mid-week ride. Tons of loops... check out http://passiontrailbikes.com/pages/waterdog for the best description.

Awesome park that I'm lucky to have basically in my backyard.

Summary:
a good 1.5 hour ride when you tie some loops together...and it's definetly hairy in some parts on the downhill. i hate climbing, so i hated skeggs with a passion....plus i didn't really think there was anything really technical there but apparently i didn't find the real stuff (and didn't want to go to the bottom dreading that climb out
). this place is technical for me, with the down parts being really fun, and the ups being enough to get the blood flowing without killing you. and they have little side trails off of the main trails with some dropoffs and steeps that keep you challenged. if you hate climbing, but like to go down, you should try this place out.

Recommended Route:
lake road to john brooks trail (basically keep going up the fireroad). when you get to the top where the houses are, go down rambler all the way to canyon creek. rambler is nutty fun singletrak...rutty, steep in the top part, jumps, and the infamous car. i take canyon creek to the parking lot. climb back up elevator, hang a right on chapparel (you get to the intersection of elevator/chapperel...going left will take u back down to the parking lot). climb up chapparel, and then it's gets nice and rolly sinlge track. then i head back and go down berry trail. berry trail was a blast...you can really take it up a notch if you want, and i saw some good drops but not doing that riding alone. just in case.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
i'm new to the area, but tamarachoro (?) boy scout trail in marin was fun too (i go counterclockwise...seems like the climbing is less, but the downs are more fun).

Summary:
Easy 2mi Firetrail, leads to single track ranging in difficulty. Watch for poison oak, and running over snakes. A few old cars litter the canyon, one you actually can ride over. I ride this trail at least once a week and there are at least 10 different ways to get down.

Recommended Route:
The map isn't updating btw. I go to Waterdog about once a week starting at the entrance to the fire road at the bottom at Lyall Way and Carlmont Drive. Go up to Hallmark Dr. where the trail goes to the left. Keep following the Blue trail (forgot name) and you will end up at Carlmont Drive. For easy way back, ride down the street and take the first left to end up where you began.
