Summary:
There are jumps for many levels. Here are a few pictures:
http://www.msdhw.com/gallery/browseimages.php?c=7

Recommended Route:
Hit "nips" (the big table), rail the lefty berm, pedal your butt off across the dried pond, then hit the main line. Or, hit the next berm of the oval track and hit "trick six" that points towards Oakland.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
C-mont

Summary:
It is best to get a feel for your bike first on some of the smaller jumps. Once you know how your bike is going to react to junps then try hittin some of the bigger ones.

Summary:
Anyone going to Shells for anything other than jumping is definitely a Fred. There are beginner jumps that are tabled, intermediate doubles and big scary 6-packs, even an X-Games sized gap jump I have never seen anyone attempt (it does have tire tracks, tho). There's a big hip to practice stalls and 180's. Try to find a time w/o too much wind (good fn luck!)

Recommended Route:
Start small, then go big. Highly recommend to go WITH the wind on the bigger lines.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Carlmont (above the high school, across from Water Dog Lake Park), Calabazas Park jumps in SJ, College os San Mateo BMX/DS track (not really DS - too small/short, but fun)

it is a good trail for starters because they can biuld your skills up on the small jumps. Then for the real action go to the bigger ones.

Summary:
lots of doubles. made more for mt bikes than bmx bikes. can get windy, too windy. fun place to jump but bring pads because the ground is either hard as asphalt or sharp as glass. saw two guys just fall down and they came up all scraped and bloody. they have a fair amount of jumps. worth checking out.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
calabazas of course
