Weekend Warrior Summary: Even when flattened by freagin volunteers. It's still pretty fun.
All you Santa Teresa hater GO AWAY. More fun for us.
****SHORT BUT FUN****
By the way last weekend someone busted a wrist and had to walk half way down. If you're not careful here you'll get hurt.
Do not go off the trail. Big rocks hiding in the grass.
Recommended Route: Up and down Rocky Ridge to Stile's Ranch.
You can start from Carl's jr. for extra mileage.
Other recommended trails in the same area: South Bay?
Demo(Corral, Braille, SawPit)
Gap
Steven's Canyon

Cross Country Rider Summary: Rest in Peace, Rocky Ridge. Thanks to the idiotic, County Parks and Trails Workers? (That's an oxymoron: County WORKERS...) Thank you for destroying a once 5 star single track trail. You have now created another fire road. Fire roads cause more erosion that nature-made single-track trails!!! Which is exactly what Rocky Ridge WAS: A natural single track which followed the ridge's natural pitch. Again, May you rest in peace, Rocky Ridge. Recommended Route: None. I'm sure the idiots will take a bobcat to Stiles also...... Other recommended trails in the same area: Why, so people will complain and tell the rangers and then another trail will plowed, destroyed, like Rocky Ridge.

Cross Country Rider Summary: If you're looking for fun, challenging technical singletrack...then this is it. The key to optimizing your fun at ST is to minimize fireroad usage and ride the singletracks both ways...without dabbing or resting. This gets high aerobic and technical ratings if ridden super-aggressively...make sure to attack Rocky Ridge hard going up without resting or dabbing...and try to Super-D descend it well under 10 minutes. Recommended Route: Following is a great out-and-back with a little of everything thrown in: Park at the corner of Bernal and Heaton Moore. Start road riding into the park and turn left on the dirt road at the first big curve. Then a quick right onto the Ohlone singletrack, and left onto Hidden Springs, and follow the dirt road around the left side of the parking lot through the old corral. At the end of the corral make a right through the meadow, and then left onto Pueblo up past the small upper parking lot, down the hill and then right onto Stile Ranch for a great little climb-descent-climb-descent. Follow Fortini, right on Mine, and right on Rocky Ridge for one of the best technical singletrack climbs around.
If you can make this from the car all the way to the top...without stopping for rest AND without dabbing...you're a pretty good rider in pretty good shape!
Then turn around and head back the way you came and enjoy the reverse direction climb on Stile Ranch. Other recommended trails in the same area: Skeggs, UCSC/Wilder, Demo, Coe, Montebello/Gap/Longridge.

Cross Country Rider Summary: It is an OK trail. Nothing too spectacular. It definitely is a good workout and is close so any time of day you can go ride for an hour. It is pretty short but you can take other loops or start from bottom to extend ride. Most of the downhill single tracks are kinda boring just rolling through hills and smooth. However there is one section called rocky ridge that isn't too bad. Not too steep but you can use your suspension. Recommended Route: Start at parking on left side of bernal. Ride up hidden springs trail then make a right on coyote which traverses a ridge. Then make a right on rocky ridge trail. There is another loop you can take to extend the ride for another 2 miles. Other recommended trails in the same area: Stevens Creek, Saratoga Gap, Fremont Older
