, from Dublin Summary: Fun trail. Kinda steep first couple hundred yds. but after that is undulating. Requires a different skill set than most single tracks I've ridden. Think it improved my technical ability and fun doin it. Recommended Route: That's been well described.

, from Santa Barbara Summary: Whoever put this in the Bay Area section is on on crack. I do however really like Salmon falls, good mix of hills and flat. Nothing too technical except the beginning can be a little intimidating to some. Yeah, poision oak is a problem, be careful, the oil will stay on your clothing for 6 months...
Other recommended trails in the same area: Cool, Clementine Loop,

, from Stockton Summary: Lots of very technical sections. Steep, put your butt-over-the-back-tire sections. Very snotty & scary when it rains. If you do this alone, you are a brave & stupid soul. Take flares. Recommended Route: Ok, this is a more detailed description how to get to what they call the Mickey Mouse trail. This is a VERY technical ride- not for amateurs! Still interested? When you reach the creek bed where the singletrack splits off to the left and the fireroad climbs, take the fireroad. You'll go a short distance, and the fireroad either goes straight or turns right. Go right. Climb, climb. climb. Don't take the first fireroad left. Keep climbing. More climbing. Finally, you'll reach what you think is the top. If you continue foward, this will take you to Rattlesnake Bar Rd., which if you turn left, will take you to the Penninsula Campground. Anyway, don't go that way. Instead, look over your left shoulder. Yup, more fireroad climbing. Up, up up. Looks like The Kamikaze atMammoth Mountain, doesn't it? After much more climbing (hella hot in the summer, duh), you'll reach a fork- veer right, and you will be at the top, where a rusted car body, broken glass and plenty of shell casings await you. This car will point you in the direction of Mickey Mouse. Stand on the front (?) bumper (Folsom on your left) and MM is straight ahead of you. It's hard to see the beginning of it- you might have to carry your bike thru the manzanita a few yards. Butt weight, there's more. When you've ridden MM for a while, and it dumps you onto the fireroad, TURN RIGHT! Continue on the fireroad for about a mile or so, and on your left you will see clear indications of more singletrack. This short pc. of ST will take you down to the regular trail at Salmon Falls, where you can rejoin your buddies who were too chickensh*t to try Mickey Mouse. Other recommended trails in the same area: Area 51 at New Hogan Reservoir (Valley Springs). For directions & pics, go to http://scaab.web.com

, from Sacramento Summary: To be blatently honest, I've ridden this trail 3 times and of those times have NEVER been impressed with any portion of this trail. It's THE trail in Sacramento if you ask everyone who thinks they know how to ride MTB. The truth: there is nothing on this trail fun or super challenging. The only stories I've heard told about this trail are about cars broken into (don't park near the bridge) and poison oak (don't take a piss on this ride . . .) Save your time and ride Auburn or the Olmstead Loop in Cool. At least, these trails will challenge your abilities. Recommended Route: In the opposite direction Other recommended trails in the same area: Any Auburn trails; Ohlmstead Loop, Cool, CA.

, from Lodi Summary: Good single track for the first few miles. Take the climb after the creek and follow to the right up past the gate and make a left at the saddle and attack the last climbs. At the top where the Fiat X19 is parked cut through the manzanita in a northerly direction and catch the trail down. This is a fine taste of single track with a short but steep climb in the middle. When you get to the fire road make a left and head down and it will makes a nice loop back to the road you climbed up. Allways watch for other riders on the trail. I allways say on your Right/Left. It helps. See you on the trail!
