Cross Country Rider Summary: This is a pretty wheenie ride. If you live in Petaluma, it is close by. You could ride a road bike on just about all of it. Excellent for a beginner. There are some challenges, but Helen Putnam Park is just too small for a good ride. Other recommended trails in the same area: Anadel, Tam, Tamarancho, or China Camp. All excellent rides

Weekend Warrior Summary: True not much here for the advanced cyclist, or for the one who likes a long ride, but if you live in Petaluma, and you like to ride well then there ya go. The trails are mostly flat and fairly smooth, it is quite lovely here great views of Petaluma and its surrounding countryside. But not enough to draw someone here from outside of town unless you are already coming to town. Recommended Route: Personally I like Panorama, then down from the Victoria heights side toward the pond where it meets up with Arroyo trail but the one before Arroyo, and then to head back home I take the trail that leads down the side opposite of Arroyo back to Victoria heights, careful there is a washed out section of trail with dual 2 foot drops that salts the game pretty bad and makes clipless pedals less fun, as at least I have to unclick jump in , climb out and get rollin again. Other recommended trails in the same area: Annadel all the way, or China Camp if you are in San Rafael, Rush Creek in Novato for some really laid back spinning and bird watching, Mt. Burdell is pointless.

, from Petaluma Summary: Unless you are a novice, this place will suck. There are no climbs long enough to wind you, no trail steep enough to have fun, no drop big enough to be worth your time. Save your self the time by just going to Annadel. You can actually put in a good ride without hitting the same trail 5 times in a row. Recommended Route: None, it's good for shakedown runs on a new bike, bu not much more Other recommended trails in the same area: Annadel, China Camp, Tamm... anything that requires some level of skill.
