Any of the single track or the fire roads. Nearly all the single track is legal. I wouldn't call this technical single track; it's a lot like skiing groomed slopes. But it is enjoyable. I found some of the fire roads here to be tougher than the single track. The "backside" (southside) of the hill is supposedly more technical but I don't know yet (see J.T. Howell trail). This place is definitely worth a look especially on a weekday.

Summary:
went once with a few friends and rode a 7 or 8 mile loop. the climbs were mild and the downhill sections were a lot of fun, nothing too technical but just enough to keep you on your toes. definitely not a real grueling ride, but we all really enjoyed it. another thing we noticed was that EVERYONE we rode by was extremely friendly and said hi. going again this weekend to try the longer route. there was also a considerable amount of shady areas, im sure it would be a nice ride for summer.

Summary:
A fun, easy ride. Groomed single tracks. I do agree that the fire roads may be a lot more technically challenging than the single track. Unfortunately we went on a Saturday and found several groups (about 15 people) of riders standing in the middle of trail intersections. Luckily this was just on the lower section, hopefully they continue to be scared off by the upper section. Overall, fast and fun trail, just a lot of inconsiderate people.

Recommended Route:
Really enjoyed the upper portion of Bayview single track.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Camp Tamarancho. Best trail I'd never heard of.

Summary:
Great trail system with views to boot. Best route is do the Bay View Trail to the Shoreline trail in the counter clockwise directions.....about 2 mile of uphill to start which is not too bad (get the blood going and legs more then warmed up) then the final 5 miles is rolling and downhill on singletrack for great loop. Take a lunch break then run it again it was so good the first time.

Recommended Route:
See above description.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Tennessee Valley, Ridge Fire Trail at China Camp (if you really like climbing)

Summary:
Easily accessible as it is only 5 minutes from Hwy 101 and close to both the Richmond and Golden Gate Bridges. China Camp is comprised of smooth single track trails with some great views of the Bay in what at times is a very scenic forest setting. The trails are ideal for novice to intermediate riders.
