Summary:
Great road. If you start in Willits it's about 25 or 30miles out to the bridge and back. It takes me about an hour to go all the way to the base of Mt Sanhedrin there at the bridge.

Recommended Route:
Start in Willits and go out to Hearst all the way to the end! LoL Well if you take a right out at the bridge you can go all the way out to the end of that road and fetch the katie trail the goes to the top of Sanhedrin. I've done it but there's a lot of pushing of the bike because of wash outs and VERY VERY over grown. I'm thinking of asking the ranch owners if I can clear that trail so it's rideable. Heartst is great because you ride up to the bridge then you get a nice coast back into town This dirt road is great for those people that just want to pump out miles and miles of riding every week like I do. I bike up Pine Mt all the way out to Thunder MT where I live every day. Hearst is a lot of both up and down all the way out but mostly climbing. Not steep at all, but that means greater speed!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Little Darbie on Timki. BLM land it's right there. Take brush loop to the top of the MT then come back around the other way. it's a fun trail. But not good for endearing runs.
