Summary:
Love this ride. Challenging uphill but worth it when you get to Page Meadows at the top. Loop the meadows counter clockwise (there are so many options up there).

Recommended Route:
As mentioned from the paved parking lot. There are trail maps (not that detailed but helpful) at the bike path trail head next to the porta potties.

Summary:
This is the only ride I have done in Tahoe so far, and I am very impressed. This ride was 10 miles and about 2000ft elevation change. This was the best ride I have ever done, the accent was technical with loose dirt, rocks, very steep at points. Great views along the way of Tahoe. The decent was incredible, this section has many different technical aspects; granite steps, switchbacks, obstacles, rock beds, sand beds, stream crossings, high speed single track and low speed technical through very loose rocky areas. I managed to bail twice, I was pushing my luck on this trail. This is a very advanced ride, coming from a guy that rides Demo in SC and Skegs Point regularly. I would highly recommend it to any advanced rider, don't attempt on a hard tail...

Recommended Route:
Park by Sunnyside marina, ride down the road, take Pineland Dr. then veer left at Ward Creek road. The trialhead is on the left, it has an immediate streem crossing and then you are on the trail, enjoy!

Summary:
I ride all over LT, this trail offers epic steps, views with moderate climbs, stay right on the TRT after Stanford Rock, you will have enough time to fit in a 2nd ride for the day.

Recommended Route:
14 Mile loop on TRT, it's only 2100' of climbing/downhill.

Summary:
Wild and adventurous. Good climb up to spectacular views (what else can be expected in the Tahoe area?)and then a twisting, rocky, loose, quite technical descent. Did this trail by "mistake" and was so happy to have screwed up! All grins at the end. Only advanced riders should attempt this, with others around in-case you bust your teeth. Intermediates will be walking much of the descent.

Recommended Route:
As stated.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Flume Trail to Tahoe Rim Trail (nice swooping singletrack on the TRT)

Summary:
I've been riding in the Tahoe area for years but only did the Stanford Rock ride in the SUmmer of 2001. I liked it so much that I did it 3 more time this season! THe long single track climb to the top is a good workout but no big deal if your in shape. The downhill is a kick. Lots and Lots of water bars switch backs etc. Very challenging, great veiws.

Recommended Route:
THe route described above.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Rim trail
