Jackson State Forest

Average Rating:    (5 of 5)

Jackson State Forest has unlimited miles of riding to be had. I went to the local bike store for some suggestions and Jessie (one of the owners) quickly offered to guide us through some of the best single track I have ridden. These tight twisting trials has a little of everything: ride thorugh a stump, teeter-totters, jumps, drops, bridges... Jessies has spent months creating some incredible loops and he wants everyone to come out and ride. You need a map before you start riding in the 55,000 acre park and stop by the store for some suggestions and probably a personal guide.

Summary:
Very impressed, ask at the local shop for trail advice (right across from the best pizza in town). There's a really nice little downhill (some 5 miles or so), very gentle uphill to get to it, well worth the time to get out there, would highly recommend. Fast, flowy, tight, twisty, fast, great local gem. Go ride it

Recommended Route:
Park at the road junction, ride either single track up, or the road for a fast entry, all the way to the top, single track down both sections and climb road back out to car. Hard to find entry off the road betweens actions, only a few hundred yards down, keep eyes peeled.
