Trail rides gated forest roads, and singletrack.Single track in a wild deep narrow canyon of the North Fork of The South Fork of The Noyo River.
City Folds only ride from the 1070 down (4 miles), but make a loop out of it and its a great ride!
From Fort Bragg go East on Hwy. 20, 6 miles. Follow road 350 North, to Camp One, (Egg collection station) Park at day use.
Follow road 360 to cross the river to Sherwood trail. Ride up canyon to road 1000, go East along high breezy ridge, lots of vistas and old trees, to road 1070. Follow 1070 to Trestle Trailhead. Trailhead and trail are well marked. Ride Trail down along river back to Camp 8, and then back to Camp one.
There are several routes, this is my favorite.
The terrain varies from deep canyons to high breezy ridges, There are several creek crossings and waterfalls!
Summary: This wild and neglected trail is Fort Bragg areas longest single track trail at 4.2 miles. It winds along the North Fork of the South Fork of the Noyo river. Along the trail are several waterfalls, lots of wildlife and the remnants of the old trestles.
Loop rides along high breezy idges and deep gullies, on nice singletrack and gated forest roads.
