Folsom Lake Downhill
2 reviews
 4 of 5

Go to the very back of Folsom Lake. Take a right over a little jump. You'll see two uphills. Take the one on the far left, it's the steepest! A 25 min climb, 2 mile downhill, very steep and rocky, lots of switchbacks and trees, feels and looks like a World Cup DH course. Email for any more wanted info!

Recommended Route:
Go to the end of Twin Rocks Rd off of Auburn Folsom. Go through dead end barrier and take the 2nd trail on the left. The others are restricted to horses. It's a pretty fun little climb and then gets real fun. You'll end in a large parking lot. Go through there to the North east side and take trails towards the lake. It does a big loop until it ends at a bench by the road. Take the road downhill towards the bathrooms and stay on pavment going about 1/8 mile. You'll see a little trail brek off from there. Stay on this and it will take you back to were you came from. This trail is a blast fast, in and out of trees over rocks etc.

Summary:
Very sttep and rocky. More like a pro world cup downhill course! Dont even attempt on a hartail unless going slow! Very fun and fast. All natural!

Recommended Route:
Go into back of folsom Lake and take the left trail instead of the right. The left is all Downhill, the right if a little of both dh and xc.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Anything in that back area!
