Snake Pit

Short but sweet downhill single track. This is the downhill course for the Keysville downhill race. It begins really fast then comes to a few technical sections then smooths out. The end it widens out and there is a sweet jump at the lip of the last hill as you come down into the parking area. It is best when done as a loop. For a short trail is loads of fun. If you are riding in the area...check it out.

Summary:
This trail one of the best in the area. Its very fast. The entire loop only takes a half hour or so. The downhill only take 4 to 10 minutes.

I prefer this trail after rain. The decomposed granite gets real soft when its been dry.

Recommended Route:
The loop

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Kern Canyon Trail, The Cannel, Just outstanding (aka shearly meadows), Keysville classic, Whisky Flats.
